How does the selling process work?
You can sell with us 7 days a week during store hours, no appointment necessary. You must be 18 years or older with a valid government-issued ID. Clothes must be in bags/boxes in order to check in. Our Lineage employees will look through your clothes and select the items they are going to purchase. After doing so, you will be able to choose between two options: 30% cash of our selling price or 50% store credit on the spot.

Do I have to use all my store credit today?
No. Your store credit is automatically saved into our system and does not expire. If you decide to come back another day, just bring your ID.

Do you do item for item trades?
No. Our 50% store credit option would be what we consider trade. You can choose the trade option when you sell your items with us and use the store credit to purchase items you like in our store. We can not trade one of our items for one of your items.

How does consignment work?
We offer consignment on select high-end designer items. You just leave it in our store, and we help sell it for you for a 20% fee. Once the item sells, we will give you a call within 24 hours and you will receive 80% of the sale.

Do I need to make an appointment to sell or consign?
No. You can come in any time we’re open. If you have more than two bags of clothes, we recommend coming in at least 30 minutes before closing.

Do you buy everything?
No, we do not. We selectively buy items based off brand, style, season, and inventory. We buy items that will have a higher chance of selling with our customer base, and favor brands/styles that have sold well with us in the past. We do not buy furniture, intimates, jewelry, or damaged items.

If I paid $100 for these jeans at the department store, does that mean I’ll get $30 cash or $50 store credit?
No. We offer 30% cash or 50% store credit of our selling price not the retail price. For example, if we purchased a top from you and put it in our store for $10, you would receive either $3 in cash or $5 in store credit.

What is your pricing based off?
Our employees are trained to price items based off brand, style, condition, season, inventory, and resell value. Our goal is to allow our customers to enjoy a curated selection with trending brands and styles at an affordable price.

What sizes do you buy?
We generally buy sizes 0-14 for women’s and S-XL in mens (28-40 waist).

Do you only buy clothes?
No. We buy clothes, shoes, purses, hats, and designer sunglasses with their cases.

Do you buy children’s clothes?
No, we do not.

Do I have to wait for my items to sell in order to get paid?
If you are selling outright, you do not need to wait in order to get paid. You would get the cash or the store credit on the spot. If have items under consignment then yes, you would have to wait for your item(s) to sell in order to get paid.

Can I use my store credit on everything in the store?
Unfortunately not. You can not use your store credit on consignment items. We do not allow this due to the fact that the items belong to other people. Other than that, you can feel free to use it on everything else that is store owned.

What is your return policy?
You can return your items for store credit only within 5 days as long as you have all the tags still attached and the receipt with you. All sale and consignment items are FINAL SALE.

Do you authenticate your designer items?
Yes, to the best of our ability. Lineage buyers always authenticate items before putting them out, and are trained to learn the best methods to do so.
